STEM education in Geauga County boosted by $5.9 million grant

Renovations and capital investment to design and repurpose classrooms for iSTEM Geauga Early College High School are scheduled to begin in March.

The investment will allow existing space at Auburn Career Center to be repurposed for state-of-the-art classrooms. The school will be open for the 2015-16 school year.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math; and iSTEM Geauga Early College High School start-up expenses are being funded as part of the $5.9 million Ohio Department of Education Straight A grant, received by the Geauga County Educational Service Center.
