Biographical Information:
Mr. Vince Petrecca has always had a love for mathematics and problem solving. He graduated from The University of Akron with his Bachelor’s Degree in pure Mathematics (what a nerd), and from Kent State University with his Masters Degree in Teaching. He is starting his second year of teaching mathematics at the high school level, but has been teaching adolescents for almost six years. Mr. Petrecca started his teaching career at the age of 19 as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor. Since getting certified as an instructor, he has taught over 20 different lifeguarding and CPR classes, successfully certified over 200 students and has managed to make over 25 life-saving rescues as a lifeguard. As a lifeguard manager and instructor, he found his passion in working with adolescents and decided to pursue education. Besides teaching, Mr. Petrecca enjoys being outside, spending time with family and friends, going kayaking and backpacking, and traveling to new places. He considers himself a Spikeball enthusiast, a donut  connoisseur and a fan of the color orange.
