Miss Jessica Beattie grew up with a deep interest in history stemmed from her grandfather’s passion for storytelling and family genealogy. This motivated her to pursue a career where she could be around others, and teach them about history and the social sciences. Miss Beattie graduated from Kent State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Education, where she studied Integrated Social Studies with a concentration in Sociology.
When she’s not with the iSTEM family, Miss Beattie enjoys spending time outdoors, learning new recipes, relaxing with a good book, soaking up a Sunday at a local cafe, or spending time with her family and friends. She runs purely on coffee, loves to laugh, and is always open to new podcast suggestions (historical or not). She will begin her first year at iSTEM in August 2019, and will be teaching Modern World History and U.S. Government. She looks forward to teaching and supporting students as they reach their highest potential at iSTEM!
