Paving

In a significant step forward for campus infrastructure, iSTEM has successfully completed a comprehensive paving project focused on enhancing both the student parking area and bus access zones.

This paving initiative was done in conjunction with Painesville Township's earlier paving project that took place at iSTEM’s campus on Mentor Avenue, where additional parking capacity was created for students while integrating improvements that complement neighboring township road enhancements. These upgrades aim to reduce congestion during arrival and dismissal times and support the growing transportation needs of the campus community.

In addition to new asphalt surfaces for student vehicles, the project included:

  • Optimized layout and resurfacing, promoting safer navigation and reducing maintenance for both buses and cars.

  • Removal of deteriorating concrete, to offer a safer thoroughfare for pedestrians and provide ADA compliance.

  • Installation of a new walkway, that includes a new flagpole and mini-courtyard that enhances the school sign.

  • Dedicated bus lanes and drop-off zones, designed to streamline traffic operations and safety.

Overall, the newly paved parking lot and bus infrastructure provide immediate benefits—elevating functionality, safety, and convenience for students, staff, and visitors alike. As the first step in a larger vision, it reflects iSTEM’s commitment to effectively building out its campus with thoughtful, quality-minded improvements.
