Press Release
Painesville, OH — The iSTEM Governing Board officially approved the relocation of iSTEM to the Auburn Career Center campus during a Special Board Meeting held on March 23, 2026.
This decision follows a comprehensive process in which the Governing Board and school leadership carefully researched, evaluated, and considered multiple options. The process included an in-depth review of facilities, programming opportunities, financial impact, and long-term sustainability to ensure the best possible outcome for students and the iSTEM community. This strategic move marks an exciting new chapter for iSTEM, creating expanded opportunities for students through enhanced programming, increased access to resources, and a more centralized learning environment. The partnership with Auburn Career Center will allow iSTEM to strengthen its focus on STEM education while expanding access to Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, College Credit Plus (CCP) opportunities, and a state-of-the-art facility.
“We are incredibly grateful to our Governing Board for their thoughtful leadership and commitment throughout this process,” said Allen Wilson, Superintendent. “This decision reflects a shared vision for what is best for our students both now and in the future.” iSTEM also extends sincere appreciation to its dedicated staff for their continued commitment to students and adaptability throughout this transition. Their work remains central to the school’s success. Additionally, iSTEM would like to thank Auburn Career Center for their collaboration, partnership, and support in making this transition possible. Their willingness to welcome iSTEM to their campus reflects a shared commitment to student success and innovative educational opportunities.

More information regarding transition details and next steps will be shared with families and the community in the coming weeks.
