If you are thinking about starting CCP at Lakeland next year, you should plan to do some preparation for the Accuplacer. For students who have not taken the ACT test yet, the Accuplacer test is used to determine eligibility for the CCP program. iSTEM is offering two Accuplacer test prep workshops. There will be one for English on Tuesday, February 15th one for Math on Thursday, February 17th. Both sessions will run from 2:40 - 3:30. Please sign up to participate. Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests Now Available
You can now order free at-home COVID-19 tests at COVIDtests.gov.
Residential households in the U.S. can order one set of four free at-home tests from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Here's what you need to know:
Limit of one order per residential address.
One order includes four individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests.
Orders will ship free starting in late January.
Those who don’t have access to a computer or internet connection can order over the phone by calling the national vaccine hotline: 1-800-232-0233.
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! CCP Information Night is changing from an in person event to a virtual one. The meeting will be held over Zoom on Monday, January 24th at 6:30. Representatives from Lakeland and KSU Geauga will present. Please plan to attend if your child will be participating in CCP for the first time next year. Parents of current CCP students are welcome as well but the information will be geared toward first time participants.
Due to weather/road conditions, iSTEM will be closed on Tuesday, January 18th. All classes will be held virtually.
Any student considering CCP for the first time in the 2022-2023 school year should plan to attend the CCP Information night being held at iSTEM on Monday, January 24th at 6:30.

The University of Akron’s Chapter of Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is hosting an event called SWE Shadow Day on Tuesday, March 8th, 2021 from 8:00am to 1:00pm. This event is open to any female sophomores, juniors, and seniors at iSTEM who are interested in pursuing higher education in the field of engineering.
During SWE Shadow Day, attendees will have the opportunity to be paired with and shadow an engineering student at The University of Akron and experience a day in the life of a college student. Attendees will have the chance to visit classes, meet professors, eat lunch on campus, visit design team rooms, and more. Attached to this email, is a flyer explaining the details of the event. Are you HUNGRY to HELP? iSTEM students are invited to attend a Pancake Breakfast to benefit a Spring Eagle Scout Project for our fellow iSTEM student, Braden. Pancakes will be available on Thursday, December 2nd from 7:30-8:30 in the gym for $3.00. All proceeds from this breakfast will be donated to Braden's Eagle Scout Project Fund to purchase materials to build picnic tables for iSTEM. It's a win-win!!! Help us fund this worthwhile project!

Lakeland CCP students - this Friday is the deadline to drop a class. Classes dropped at this time will receive show as Withdrawn on the high school and college transcript and will not negatively effect your GPA. You will be billed by iSTEM for the cost of the course if you drop, however. Stuff the Subaru at iSTEM, 1800 Mentor Ave., on November 12th between the hours of 7:00 -8:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m. iSTEM along with it's partner Adventure Subaru, will be collecting items to support Project Hope for the Homeless, the only emergency shelter in Lake County.
